The Protect Children Project, launched by The Satanic Temple (TST), asserts that members enduring physical or psychological abuse in public school directly violates TST’s religious beliefs. Student members of TST attending public schools can claim religious exemptions from harmful practices, including corporal punishment, seclusion, restraint, and denial of bathroom access. The campaign has introduced the "Student Rights Card" to assist students in asserting their religious exemptions. Its broader goal is to force the judiciary to acknowledge religious civil rights as a means of halting student abuse in public education.
