This year, The Satanic Temple’s Protect Children Project (PCP) made a powerful impact by bringing its advocacy directly to public schools with high rates of corporal punishment. In April, PCP visited Morton High School in Mississippi, where 186 cases of corporal punishment were recorded in a single year. PCP distributed Student Rights Cards, providing TST members with the tools to stand up for their rights and reject harmful practices that conflict with their belief in bodily autonomy.
In November, PCP traveled to Livingston High School in Texas to continue its mission. Through education and advocacy, the visit highlighted the importance of protecting TST student members’ religious freedoms and opened dialogue with local community members.

Throughout 2024, PCP distributed 475 Student Rights Cards, helping TST student members nationwide protect their religious right to bodily autonomy. As we prepare for 2025, PCP is inspired to expand its outreach and ensure that no student member faces disciplinary practices that infringe on their religious beliefs.
