The Satanic Temple Announces The Devil's Pantry Emergency Food Drive

SALEM, MA — The Satanic Temple's Satanic Good Works Campaign (SGW) has announced the launch of a nationwide food drive, which will run through the end of November. This charity campaign comes as millions across the country face unprecedented food insecurity caused by rising food costs, layoffs, and the sudden loss of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits due to the shutdown of the federal government.

"With so many facing hunger due to Congressional gridlock, it is more important than ever for communities to come together and support each other,' said Erin Helian, The Satanic Temple’s Executive Director of Campaigns. The Devil's Pantry food drive is a coordinated effort by TST's congregations across the United States to collect food and monetary donations, which will be distributed directly to local food pantries. Over seventeen congregations nationwide have partnered with local charities and announced their participation in this effort. 'Satanic Good Works projects like the Devil's Pantry show how much The Satanic Temple values doing good for others,' added Nicole Ballard, Co-Director of the Satanic Good Works Campaign. 'The Satanic Temple and its many congregations have the experience and community connections needed to run a national food drive, and it is our duty to use those capacities to serve people in need.'

The Satanic Good Works Campaign has organized numerous charity drives over the years, encompassing a range of items from food and clothing to menstrual products and personal care items. Other direct-action efforts include an international blood drive and a community cleanup. Those interested in participating in the Devil's Pantry can find information on how to donate here.
